The biggest organ that a human body keeps is the skin. So it is very sore when someone realizes they are agonizing from dehydrated and annoyed skin. There are thousands of other skin care products for dry skin although how does a person know which to select? In order to better establish a skin solution it is required to first uncover the cause of the grief.
There are more than one motives a person can experience dry skin. Although, some medical conditions can cause skin to turn dry, most of the time the cause is the environment our skin is being exposed to. Eczema and Psoriasis are aching conditions which may be a result of genetic or possibly an allergy. Someone experiencing these conditions will have distinct patches of dry skin and must seek the recommendation of a doctor or dermatologist. On the other hand, there are numerous dry and irritated skin treatments that can be carried out to address or stop usual dry skin when it is caused by our setting.
As it could be expected, exposure to hot or cold weather, particularly in dryer weather, can be a causing factor. However covering up exposed skin with suitable clothing can lessen the contact the skin has with the elements. Additionally, taking hot baths and showers can prompt dry skin as well. A hot bath opens the pores and decreases the skins normal lipids which help keep the skin silky and protected. As an alternative, it`s improved to take a warm bath and apply a very moisturizing cream immediately after drying off when the skin is still slightly damp. This will help catch the natural and further moisture in the skin, and is more useful than frequently applying lotion to dry skin. Finally, using fabric softener sheets can be a factor as well. Many dryer sheets include chemicals and colognes that aggravate skins natural balance. In it`s place use a liquid fabric softener or use fragrance free, hypo-allergenic items. This is also an important point to exemplify when reviewing the soap used in the household. Soaps that do not contain fatty components can further dry skin, particularly deodorant soaps. When purchasing for soap, slant toward moisturizing products that contain natural oils such as olive oil, vitamin E, or cocoa butter. Try to stay away from highly fragrant deodorizing soap and search for soaps that brag that they are very moisturizing.
Ultimately, skin needs moisture to keep the sebaceous glands (oil glands) actively functioning by releasing an apt amount of sebum (oil). Therefore, ingesting a sufficient amount of water, eating properly, and restraining caffeine and alcohol will assist in keeping skin soft. Additionally, smoking has also been related to dehydration levels as well as decreased flexibility. Thus continued smoking will only increase the problem. Lastly, another important part of any skin care regimen is to take a comprehensive multi-vitamin and vitamin E. On the whole, curing dry skin doesn`t happen from just one change, it may need a total overview of daily practices and how they might be affecting the skin.
